Own trade compliance, sanctions screening and anti-bribery controls for a forwarder moving cargo across sanctioned and high-risk lanes.
Responsibilities
- Run sanctions and denied-party screening, and own the escalation process for hits.
- Maintain the anti-bribery and anti-corruption programme, including third-party due diligence.
- Advise commercial teams on export controls and dual-use classification.
- Prepare the compliance evidence for customer and regulator audits.
Requirements
- Five or more years in trade, sanctions or financial-crime compliance.
- Working knowledge of OFAC, EU and UN sanctions regimes.
- Able to give a clear yes or no to a commercial team under time pressure.
Also useful
- Freight forwarding or customs brokerage background.
- CAMS or equivalent.
